Joyful Girl & Balloons

What percentage of your pleasure comes from food?

How often do you experience joy and happiness, outside of food?

If you’re not sure – find out. Keep a tally over the next few days. Write down everything pleasurable you observe about your life. Determine your sources of true joy. Then list your top 3 sources.

Why it Matters

If food is your main source of joy….is it any wonder that you crave more food than your body needs?

You are starved. But not for food.

You’re craving JOY!

If diets haven’t worked, perhaps this is one of the reasons.

At its core, this is not really a food problem.

Now what?

Sometimes food IS a source of joy. You get to decide how often.

If after tallying up your joy list – you’ve decided “food” is too prominent, you can take steps to change it.

To diversify your joy ::

  • Figure out what feels good outside of food.
  • Take notes on what lights you up.
  • Experiment.
  • Discover what truly makes you smile.

Most importantly, be patient with yourself. It won’t happen overnight. But if you stick with it – you might discover more joy than you ever imagined was possible.
